Sahar Mokhtari

Sahar Mokhtari (born 1984 in Zanjan, Iran) an Iranian visual artist and photographer living in Tehran, Iran. She is graduated in bachelor of Photography and Master of Art Research from the Faculty of Fine Arts University of Tehran. From 2005 officially started her artistic activities in the field of photography. She worked with the Iranian press as a photo‌ journalist , photo editor and writer for about ten years, and after that she started teaching at the university and she has currently continuing it. 

Her main interest in all the years of her professional work has been fine art photography. Her main tendency in fine art photography is photomontage and photo collage, and she has produced most of her works with these methods and using pre-existing photos (found photography). The subject and content of most of her collections are about the concept of time, history and archives, and she has shown them in a 6 solo and  more than of 40 group exhibitions in Iran and other countries: France, United Kingdom, Belgium, Argentina, Canada, India, Greece and …
